World Bank completes probe into Eskom power station contract

World Bank Country Director for South Africa Guang Zhe Chen told News24 that the World Bank’s Integrity Unit had assessed the matter.

So the "World Bank Integrity Vice President" is a South African and a member of the ANC (Leonard McCarthy)... and the "World Bank Country Director for South Africa" is a Chinese National (Guang Zhe Chen)?

Yeah, I'm sure this investigation was TOTALLY impartial!

World bank are hypocrites anyway.

Giving money for one of the largest coal power plants in the world, when they're supposed to be cutting down on pollution.
Eskom is also not bothering with the mandates of the loan - putting in flue gas desulfurization equipment.
