World cup tickets,fourth sales phase begins.

Seems that all the matches in Cape Town has been sold out. Can anyone confirm?

I just tried to buy tickets now, I cant even select Cape Town as a venue. Does that mean Cape Town is sold out until the next phase when the international tickets get released from the other federations back to us.

Afraid so. I fear that we'll just be fighting for scraps in phase 5. Will have to see.

I applied for Portugal vs Korea match online, it's first come first serve. I applied last week, and i put in my card details etc etc.
I expected to be approved immediately, it didnt happen and only today (7 days later) my ticket application has been unsuccessful, what is going on?

According to FIFA website:

Ticket applications received during these Sales Phases are processed according to the order in which they are received and subject to availability.

So I guess your match sold out before you applied. I agree that you should receive confirmation of your application on the same day to give you an oppurtunity to apply for other games if unsuccessful. Apparently they have sold 120 000 tickets of the 400 000 tickets allocated to phase 4 already. Wonder where the other 280 000 tickets are? Probably the likes of Nelspruit, Polokwane, Rustenburg.

What a load of ****e this last phase turned out to be. If i had known it would take 7 days to process i would have applied for more tickets.

An immediate yay or nay would have been keeping up with technology. Why are FIFA so slow?

Now that i have been denied there are bugger all tickets worth buying.

There won't be too many tickets after this phase - apparently over 100K sold since Feb 09 already. You may get tickets if you want to watch in small dorps like Polokwane and Nelspruit, most of the lower cat tickets seem available still at those venues.

No PE 1/4 final for me . I'm undecided on whether to apply for the 3rd place play-off or wait for phase 5 and try to get the 1/4 final.

I really wanted the Quarter @ Soccer City. If all goes to the form book, it will be England vs France!!!! Unfortunately FIFA snubbed my application.

I am also going to the Netherlands v Denmark game and the Quarter @ Ellis Park and also 2 smaller group games. I thought 4 games was a lot, but 9?! Nice.
