I must say, I've been enjoying raiding lately. I didn't care much for EN or the other one but Nighthold fights are fun fights again.

I'm in a small guild who used to raid during Wrath days. We were stuck on Spellblade Aluriel FOREVER and finally managed to down her as a guild last night on normal mode. We've also killed everyone up to Tichondrius a few times. The Krossus bridge boss fight being my favourite of all.

We tried a Scorpyron HC fight last night and got our collective asses handed to us. We're just not down on tactics as a group yet.

I main as a DK tank, ilvl 880, but I'm severely disappointed in my rogue's DPS. I got legendary boots to drop for his outlaw spec and with a current ilvl of around 848 his dps is TERRIBAD (then again i still haven't unlocked the last relic slot either).

I also had boots drop for BM hunter, so I'm keen to get him a little more geared for raiding too.

Anyone still actually playing / raiding? We got Krosus HC down on last pull of the night which was nice.

PS although I'm currently raiding on the fire mage I've discovered that monks are SUPER FUN.
Guild name? Server? Faction?

Guild is <Easy> on EU-Lightbringer (Alliance)

Toons are on EU-Mazrigos (the realms are linked):
Thawte - Mage
Grimmaldus - Paladin
Munkey - Monk

Raiding will have to slow down a bit now unfortunately with the UNISA semester starting up and having to continue my part time studes. Fortunately my guild is quite accomodating to raiders floating in and out of raid signups depending on rl commitments.

Nighthold is great! Mythic+ is great! Legendary system is #$*&#@()$&@)(&!@#()@ but it's finally turned in my favour so ima just keep quiet.

Rogues are picking up nicely in damage meters in 7.1.5 (not sure which specs, check warcraft logs if you're interested), they've always scaled well so they should continue to get better. You can't complain about your DPS @ ilvl 848 and only two relic slots :p

Our DK tanks are finding it tough to tank with in Legion unfortunately, we usually have at least one in our raids (sometimes both!) and I wish we didn't. I guess in each xpac there are winners and losers. Bear tanks are king at the moment. How are you finding tanking with yours?

Scorpyron HC is ok but you can't facerole mechanics like you do in LFR or normal (unless you are stupidly geared I imagine) but the mechanics aren't that hard if the raid pays attention and concentrates.

Ugh yeah I think I just suck at playing. My huntard at 860 also does crappy deeps.

Our guild managed to do a full clear and down Gul'dan on normal last night. I'm not happy with the DK's survivability. My beartank is 105 now and I still enjoy tanking with her. Dps is low but not AS low as on my DK.

We did a Skorpyron HC pug last night too and managed it ok, a bit messy on tactics but not terrible. But then idiots dropped timebombs in the middle of the raid on the 2nd boss and we kept wiping.

My DK is on 885 equipped now but I see people asking for 900+ ilvls etc. No idea how they get that gear.

I've done tons of raids now and spent a stupid amount of coins which ALWAYS return AP or gold. I've given up on RNGeezus.

People and their ilvl requirements are just so silly and they never keep it relevant to the content they want to do.

I've had so many people in high Mythic+'s with ilvl 900+ and then they don't even know mechanics on a Boss. You think wtf, this player should be doing Heroic and go learn the fight. Becomes really important when Tyrannical is involved.

How do these people get to that ilvl... I'm sure many of them bought the characters or pay to get boosted.

I'm 905 myself and seen so many 880-885 people wreck 900+ people. So ye, play with people you know.

In general I personally are not a big fan of Mythic+. Having been on a 4 year break from the game and just returned for Legion. I much prefer to old way of gear progression. Hit max, Dungeons -> HC Dungeons -> Normal Raids -> Heroic Raids
It's probly just me, but I don't think any Dungeon gear should come close to any raid gear.

I can also mention the Legendary rng system and the AP grind that in my opinion is just one big mess.
Legion is not muti-spec or alt friendly at all with that.

Other than that it's a pretty good expansion with very enjoyable raids. I do love Nighthold and the difficulty steps in the bosses is almost perfectly done.

Good luck on M+(weekly chests guaranteed Titanforge,so 10+ and now 15+ weekly drops some mad stuff),2 Legendaries at 940,Heroic ToV+Nighthold,Mythic EN and you should be at that item level

I am / was looking for people to casually raid with... I'm used to healing, always have, but have been asked to go into Moonkin which is a bit awkward to play at the moment.

Does anyone find playing from SA produces less DPS than EU counterparts ?

I'd be keen on doing M+'s too, haven't done them in a while, but the last I healed was probably a +7 or 8.

Alliance Lightbringer and Hellscream.

200ms+ does increase your response times and thus decrease DPS - though with good precasting you'd find it less noticeable on classes with Cast times, never felt it to be a crippling handicap though

I starting playing WoW with the Legion expansion, so I can't compare it too anything else :) I must say that I do enjoy the game a lot but I'm sticking to one char for now. I'm a 893 equipped Enhancement Shaman and got my T19 4pc this weekend so my dps is going up again after the 7.1.5 nerfs :)

I must say the thing that I dislike is the achievement requirement to get into higher content i.e. link curve, link Keystone Master (KM) etc. It really takes a lot of effort to get into groups to get these achievement, but I'm managing okay with Curve on EN & ToV (working on NH Curve, cleared all on Normal and 5/10 on HC). This is my 2nd week I'm going to be stuck on +14 key for M+ so hopefully I can try and get Keystone Master after the reset this week :)

I'll probably start a 2nd char (either Death Knight or Demon Hunter, due to higher lvl start) when I get bored in order to experience the game as i.e. a tank. I'm might also start putting some AP into my Resto Spec to experience the healing side of the game but to keep up with DPS all of that is going into the 0.5% dps increase trait at this stage.

How come these game cards are so expensive? They're something like +- R550 each. Just 2 years ago they were R300. Dafuq happened?

Over half a click just to play for 60 days. Insane.

Slowly getting through Legion now that I finally have a decent PC. It seems a bit scattered sometimes - I kind of missed the old questing where you pretty much started on one end of a zone, and finished on the other, before moving onto the next one. Now you can kind of go where ever you want and everything just scales accordingly. Still so much to get used to (had to basically relearn the game and it's mechanics lol), but it does feel a lot better than recent expansions. My Hunter is 107, so almost there, and then I guess the real fun begins.

Edit: another cool feature is the app. Sit at work and just keep sending my minions off on missions, then collect on all their hard work when I get home and log in.

Picking up where I left off with my priest at 85. I was away for maybe 2.5 years. I don't know if it's me or the general dungeons but wow is it easy mode now in the 85 dungeons, what I mean is, I think Blizzard buffed all the classes big time. Also, everything is so expensive now. There seems to be a crap ton more gold in the game all of a sudden; we're talking gold numbers in the hundreds of thousands now for items and some even over a million gold for that chest or trinket.

Personally, the interest was never in the gear or the other players. You learn this quickly after all your stuff gets sharded expansion after expansion and guilds break up, players move on and new players appear. Gear does not keep me coming back, it's the escapism of it all. You get to forget about the world for a few hours.

I seem to be really good at the healer class, well, the only thing I was ever good at actually. The game has changed though, become easier to level. Anyway my thoughts on things.

Once you get to do some challenging mythics like 10+ then we will see if it's easy

I hope to try. I will likely need to install healbot and some other raid addons and likely step things up a bit for that level. I am in a raiding guild that does those mythics, they are one of the oldest guilds around and got some old irl friends in there, nice vibe to group with those you actually know and they are all roughly my age. So now it's just about gearing up for the content I guess. I look forward to it :)

Yea old stuff is dead easy now but Legion content has a difficulty level for everyone. 4x raiding difficulties per tier and the Greater Rift I mean Mythic+ system for dungeons means you can go as hard as your gear and skill allow, to infinity. Like Reign says everything over +10 starts to get real tricky real fast.

I prefer the questing / story aspect being less linear than before. Kudos to Blizzard here I think it's much harder to do that way successfully, they've done well (in this respect at least).

Agreed. The questing part I love the most. Two favorite areas are Deepholm (mostly for the stunning background ambient music) and Sholazaar Basin, such a beautiful area and fun quests to do.
