Get R500 and go to Look and Listen that will give you three months worth of play time

On a side not I played on a pirate server last year and it wasn't much different.

Depends where your friend plays, US or EU.

If he plays EU, btgames.co.za. (If you dont have a credit card then buy a 60 day game card at the same time)

If he plays US, you can get it from me, http://woworder.webhop.net Deposit to an account and dont worry about credit card, as I can create your account using my card.

Remember a new CDKey costs R220 and comes with 40 days free play (R120 value), so if you buying a second hand account only to get it cheap, then I would buy it for no more than R50. Taking into account that some ppl will give you an invalid password after they have received payment, and that blizzard ever locks your account, you will be unable to unlock and continue playing, as your name is not on the account.

"40 days free" is misleading. I presume you are talking about the 10 day trial + the 30 days gametime. Personally, if I bought the game, I wouldn't waste the trial on myself (I'd give it to a friend or something). As a trial, you cannot use the mail system, you cannot trade with other players, and you cannot use the Auction House. You also have a level 20 limit, which I reached in about 5 days. And don't even get me started on the queues!!! As a trial user, if you're unlucky enough to be queued, you get the lowest priority. I've waited over an hour before as a trial!

In reality, what you get with your purchase is 30 free days, and a 10 day trial key for a friend.
