Depends where you play. just questing takes like 8MB per 2 hours and when you do raids or battlegrounds it takes like 30MB. thats what it is for me

TBC it was low. WOTLK the usage increased alot. Normal leveling in Eastern Kingdoms and Kamlimdor, including the odd instance here and there would be about 10-15 megs per 2 hours. Moving to Outland/Northrend it goes up to about 30-50 megs per 2 hours doing Dailies and leveling. Raiding Northrend 25 man instances uses approx 200-300 megs per 4 hour session. So it really depends on LVL, Area and running instances. A 10 man instance will use 75% that of a 25 man, roughly calculated.

My Gametime expired a while ago, now I want to buy online via the WoW website time for one month.

Just to confirm, If I buy a 1 month now, when does it expire, at the end of this month (september) or after 1 month (12 October) ?

And It wont automatically topup when I run out of gametime, as I just want to play from now, till after the September holidays.

I worked out it is cheaper to buy time like that (R110 per month) than to buy a 60 day prepaid card which retails for about R300.

It depends how you top up. If you use your credit card on the WoW website, It will automatically top up again at the end of your cycle (which is from the date you start to the same date the next month, so 12 of October would be correect)

If you are doing that though, as soon as the payment is confirmed, Just go back to the account screen and then cancel you subscription. You will still be allowed to play until the end of your paid up time, but it wont rebill you the next month

I bought wow, loaded the patches and have now played for a few days making use of my 30days, at first I was not impressed as I am with most fantasy RPG's but now that I grasp the game I enjoy it, but I think paying the monthly fees is rather steep.
Anyone think the price is justified? R270 for a 2 month gamecard? nevermind paying for bandwidth as well.

Once you're addicted it's like paying for a hit.

Well how much do people pay to gym each month? (Yeah I know, you can't compare WoW and physical excercise, seeing that the one kills the other). Or DSTV? It's a hobby and you pay for what you want. People have some weird mindset if you pay for a game. It's a hobby just like anything else.

Yeah but DSTV entertains a whole family, wow is a single subscription.. oh well I guess with all the servers they need to maintain it's fair to a degree, but I still think it needs to be a little cheaper though.

+/-R150 per Month sounds like a lot...but equates to roughly R5 per day.

You'd spend that amount on a car guard alone if you went out at night instead of playing computer games. Not to mention the average person's drinking bill.

Car Guard = girl for those not familiar with Voicy's slang

Yeah I guess, just to some like myself who don't earn much will need to sacrifice to make room for wow. :crying:

And being addictive you'll become more anti-social.. maybe :D
