One would think that players would actually have the "honor" to not do something as stupid as killing lower level players? *sigh*

Oh, I'm used to not having free time. I played Star Wars Galaxies for two years and City of Heroes for a while after that as well. So I'm all to familiar with the MMORPG addiction. :)

Eish, i thought my social life sucked b4, now its non-existant. Eating, working & sleeping are my only interruptions, lol. I hardly ventured outside this w/end. My mates came over to watch the grand prix on sunday(with its interruptions). I hardly logged out, just showed them how to work the remote, how to microwave a tv dinner, and told them not to desturb me & to leave quietly after the race. :)
btw, i'm on a normal server, now lvl 17neDruid. is it more fun on the PvP servers? should i switch?

noone, the best would be to ask someone if they haven't used their 10day invite-a-friend cd-key. This way you can try it legally for 10 whole days and get the proper WoW experience and not some dodgy emu perspective.

Anyone have a 10 day invite a friend thingy :D

LOL! Sounds about right? I got into trouble with the significant other this weekend 'cos it was my turn to cook on Saturday, and I bought take-aways for everyone and then didn't clean the kitchen on Sunday morning! LOL! I was in SUCH k@k :D

Noone: If I knew where to get to it, I would send it to you. I checked the site but I can't find it anywhere...

A little OT here but LaRoosTa mentioned the memory creating part of the in game lag. Currently windows manages my paging file but there used to be a guidline for setting it yourself. Does anyone know how and too what the values should be set too?

Some more news on the 10 day pass thing: You only have a pass to share if you bought the Collector's Edition of WoW. So, sorry Noone, can't help mate :(

I beg to differ there, I did not buy the Collector's Edition (well not as far as I know :D) my friend bought mine for me in Canada and it's on the way in the post, but I already have my Auth Key and a 10 day guest pass!

How bout my earlier question. I'm on a normal server. The other options are PvE and PvP. Should i switch to PvP? Can i switch my character, or will i have to start over?
And how bout the Honor system? How does that work?
I've just got a bunch of Zeros on mine.

Strobe: As far as I can understand, you get a honorable kill when you kill someone from the opposing faction - that's what a friend told me anyway. As for moving - you'd have to start from scratch again. The character moving is apparently up to Blizzard's discretion - i.e. you can't choose which server you wanna move to, they do. That's what I was told last night by other players when I asked about character moving.

Echo: Thanks for the correction. Noone, you can have mine... if I can find it?

I'll send Blizzard and email and ask them. Hopefully it's not in the box, otherwise I can't help you, 'cos I never got the box - I just wanted the CDKey

I'll let you know.

I see that the login server was bounced last night. If that happens you can give it a good 30 minutes before trying to login again. I played last between 20:00 - 21:30 and the game was very buggy. Quite glad I missed the reboots. Wonder if it has anything to do with the new language packages.

TheYak, You'll need to get the 10 day pass from the person who you bought the game from. I bought the game from Canada and received it in the box, but I also bought another CD-Key for a friend via squish102 (CD-Key's through email) and received the 10-day pass CD-key as well.

FireFli: Regarding the problems that you've experienced, remember that at the end - beginning of the month the connections are always crappy, because of everyone downloading like crazy to reach and surpass their caps. It usually last until the 3rd/4th of the month, because like myself, I have 2 accounts and I try to cap the first one (local torrents) and leave the other for International browsing and WoW.

Yeh, the problem is that they destroy the box after they give me the CDKey... so it's probably gone with that :(

Sorry, noone. I have already used it and so has my friend.

Best bet would be to track down squish102 on IRC (shadowfire) #wow and ask him if he has a few extra's lying around.

heheh. well, my instruction to him was to destroy the box, so if he did keep it, he'll be in serious trouble!
