Beautiful. The wonderful security that a Microsoft product provides. At least it looks like they are trying to get better but too bad for people who run old versions of their software...

/speculation

The worm was designed, created, tested and released by Microsoft to ensure that more people upgrade to WinXP.

Watch out for the new version of the worm that attacks XP, once XP's replacement is established in the market.

/end speculation

Why don't MS say sorry - we buggered up, here's your free version of XP, and $1000 for the hassle we've caused you ?

Hmmmm.
Am currently having some problems that could be related to this issue.

Have a couple of clients that when trying to print their pc just reboots.

no shutting down just as if you have pressed the power button.

On the other side have a dep problem and no printing.

This seems to be related somehow to this worm (started around the same time worm was released!)

It's easy to kill these worms, just go to task manager and end the .exe then search for the .exe on the HDD and rename is to .exe.old
