Washington - US President George W Bush's plan to send about 21 500 more US troops to Iraq is the greatest US foreign policy blunder since Vietnam.
So says Nebraska Republican senator Chuck Hagel.
"I think this speech given last night by this president represents the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam if it's carried out," Hagel said on Thursday.
A possible 2008 presidential candidate, told a congressional hearing: "I will resist it."
