Like the title implies, is it worth it getting a Nexus 6 with a broken screen?

Everything still works apparently..

What offer should I make?

He wants R3500 but thats way too much in my opinion.

Where in SA can it be repaired?

I've scrapped a Nexus 7 and an Asus FonePad with broken screens due to unavailability of spares in SA. If it's not a popular product, you'll most likely have to import the screen yourself

Is the Nexus 6 not a popular device? I have one and its almost impossible to find accessories for it in a normal shop and have to buy my stuff online.

My wife was recently back in SA and took a Samsung galaxy Tab 3 with a broken screen and had it fixed for R130 and a tempered glass type cover over the new screen which seems cheap.

R3500 for a damaged Nexus 6? That's a rip-off.

In excellent condition you should get R3500 - R4000 for one.

If you like Vanilla Android and OTA's as soon as they come out, then yes.

Yes definitely like vanilla Android. Currently on iPhone 6 and have been spoiled eith updates. I was on Samsung before, and the updates on iOS just blows it away. Only thing I hate about iOS is the pain of file transfer and that it is too "closed". Thats what draws me to Nexus, it is open and file transfer is easy, and you get timely updates. Just sucks you cant get it on contract.
