Even Elon said it. Maybe 1% can drop their fibre for starlink. Starlink does about 20Gbps per 400 Sq km today. Yes it will get higher. And maybe even order of magnitudes higher. But even then it won't be optimal for densely populated areas.

If you got fibre, keep fibre...

All other internet services are only useful either where there is no fibre availability, or as backup.
 
Not currently but if I were to move somewhere without fibre then yes.
 
I reckon the largest initial users of Starlink will be the Banks so that they can rid themselves of VSAT and LTE connectivity for ATMs.

Given my location, it's the best I can do. I can stream Netflix, do what I need to do ito email and internet stuff. I have a colleague or 3 that come and make use of my wi-fi when their 3G (now and then 4G) cell signal is down.

As they say, in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
 
Until I have more details on price I can't give a definite answer.
 
No, I would never get Starlink. I would not want my internet and social media monitored by a foreign government. I will rather wait until a Chinese company offer the same type of service in SA.

Meanwhile Google in the USA gives "Financially affected" (That's what we consider ~Middle-Class equivalent here) free 1Gbs up/down fiber

No, but if I ever lived where there is not good fibre then yes.
