Yes. If it worked flawlessly.
It would be the equivalent to taking the train to work.
 
Why not, if I had a car to swap! I can only afford a second hand clunker in the 10k range, so trading that in for a self driving car which usually costs a decent sized medium class house. DEAL!! :D
 
At this stage I would only consider it if the autonomous function could be turned on/off at will. Enjoy driving most of the time and feel better if I have control. Would however seriously consider it as I get older and no longer able to drive myself safely as it would give me some form of indipendance.

I can give up driving, no problem.. for either an extra twenty minutes of sleep, or start work day off earlier
 
Yes, in a heartbeat. If all traffic were automated, there would be less deaths on the road, and traffic would flow a lot faster. Traffic signals would become defunct. I, for one, welcome our new automated mechanical overlords.
 
...and give up the pleasure of being an enthusiastic driver? No way! I love driving my car.
 
Anyday, humans are too fallible. They dont know their own limitations. I would prefer a smart computer which can react smarter and more rationally any day. Also more time I can work :D Or consume information.
