nothing quite beats a sweaty helmet used by someone else, riding on the back of a bike ridden by a stranger.

the people who would use the service are not the same in south africa as it is in parts of the world where a service like this works. like where bsuiness men take a bike from the airport to the bsuiness district becaue it saves time

Nice.. pay R 18 to get a head full of lice, gel, dandruff and god knows what else...

99.999% of people in possession of bike licences have no idea how to safely ride. Unless the rider can produce a certificate by the BMW rider academy or similar, there is no way I'll get onto the bike even wearing my own protective gear. I've done up to advanced off road riding with BMW and sand riding course and advanced road riding, and I still not considered myself an expert rider. A bike is vastly different from a car. So, my answer is a definite NO!

I mean I would, don't know if the person riding the bike would want to pick me up though.
I use these services when I've been out having a drink.
When I've had a drink, I become handsy.

As a motorcycle rider myself....not a ****ing chance.

Surely this is a liability disaster waiting to happen.

I think uber should have just said they a trialing a full uber courier service based of their existing ride model.

I would - but only on the back roads to get around some mega traffic.

Would be useful getting round the CBD when there are big events on.

Not going to work in SA. We don't have the "bike-conscious" culture for it, our roads work differently, too many fast roads interconnecting the slow ones, or I dunno, maybe dying on a motorbike is just more accepted in Bangkok. Oh and we have minibus taxis.

I've already seen dead delivery drivers on N-road offramps. I have no interest in being the dead guy on the back.

Oh Hell no. We see every day how these kamikazes ride/drive, and then there are other road users whom have no respect for other, especially bikers.
