56k is actually 56k overseas, not like here where ur lucky if u get 33k.
True 56k should be fine to play on, based on 56 / 8 = 7kb/s down max.
Our 64k ISDN produces about 8kb/s down max and online gaming is possible with it. :)

Thats y us at BTGames will never release a game until we as Sales ppl are happy a persons system requirements and reasons for buying the game are 100%. We care about the gamers in South Africa, hence our massive drive to overwhelm the public with tons of awesome games at fantastic prices. :)
**Thanks Team and Owners**

Another warning I would put out there for the people that dont know. You need a credit card or a 60 day game card to create your account.

So many people do not want to use (or have) a credit card online.

I would suggest going the credit card route because the price of the 60 day game cards are way more expensive.

Well done?!?

This is ridiculous - World of Warcraft was released in America in late 2004. I have been playing the game for a year and a half. There is nothing cool about it coming out in South Africa this late.

And not only is it pathetically late, but it's hopelessly over-priced! R299 for 60 days? I pay $14.99 a month - that's roughly R200 for two months. The game itself is also way too expensive.

Plus, the EU servers are ****e - unless you like gaming with people who can't speak English.

Also, the serious gamers who wanted to play WoW have all found a way to do so already, so I doubt there'll be many sales (my local Look & Listen said that they sold two copies in the launch week).

Too little, too late.

Hi

I must agree that U.S server are much better then EU servers,I have accounts on both. firstly U.S guys are much friendlier then the EU guys who pretty much just hang out with other people from their countries. Also everyone in the U.S servers speak English, its so irritating trying to trade and communicate with people who don't speak the same language as you.

I dont think the EU servers are as bad as everyone make it out to be.

I used to play on the US servers (before PCT) and it was really a lot like hell. Playing with kids are not always fun, and the guys thats close to my age (20s) only come online after work usually, which is sleeptime in South Africa.

Because of that, Battlegrounds also are a lot less than on the EU servers.

Now, I think I dont have that much of a problem with languages since we went out and created a new South African guild on the europe servers when we all started over on the EU servers.

Looking back, I think it was one of the best choices I made playing on EU rather than on US. PCT (Payed Character Transfer) came just just too late and I really enjoyed playing a different faction now as well.
