So we cleared Heroic Nighthold and are very much looking forward to the adventures through the tomb!
Team really needs a couple of ranged DPS that can hit the ground running. Unfortunately every other role we are full
Team can take around 5 more players then we at 30 - Come join the funs!

Just an update on a few things

Still open to recruit South Africans - We now have two teams progressing through ToS Heroic
Our original team is 7/9 Herioc with some great attempts on Avatar
Our new group created from the overflow of original team is now 4/9 Heroic and getting stronger by the day

Both teams are full on Tanks and Healers - However we will consider any DPS that would like to apply

I know a lot of people tout the atmosphere in their guilds but i have to say. Its a bunch of great people here and raid nights are always a laugh and blast- JOIN US :)

Best way to get hold of us is adding our battletags and having a chat in game, i don't always see my personal messages and could take a while to respond

Joined this guild a couple of years back. Nothing worse then a massive guild where only the old school members talk to each other and the rest of us walk around like plebs lol.

There are always 2 kinds of guild members I have experienced, those willing to fix the problem and those unwilling to do so.
To put it into context of the above. You have those that integrate themselves and those who do not.

The latter often use terms such a "old boys club" and "cliques" to justify their own shortcomings.

Proof of what I say? The "old boys" club is made up of people who didn't know each other from a bar of soap when the various SA guilds quit the US servers and migrated to EU.
They raided and played together through thick and thin. Then various forms of ******tery happened and more migrations were needed.

For example, my trip through wow has been thus:
US <Nerzhul> my first Server. Then US Stormrage with FoA & Unforgiven / US Whisperwind - Sorted / US Stormrage - Awakened Guardians / EU <??????> Trying to recreate Awakened Guardians / EU Laughing Skull - FoA / EU Twilight Hammer - Pap en Vleis

Every single time, I included myself into the guild activities and got myself as part of the "old boy's club".

A guild is but a name to a collection of people. A guild is a collection of people who put in the effort for the overall good of the guild.
That's how they stick around long enough to have "old boys clubs".

Guess it depends what your reason was for joining.
My most recent return to wow saw me joining a Mythic raiding team (their 2nd Mythic team) on Alonsus (Raze). We were doing well (8/10M NH / 1/9 ToS), but
eventually the amount of time it took for some people to learn mechanics caught up to my sanity, and I couldn't take it anymore.
I'm all for wiping, as long as there is progress.

I didn't speak to the raid group other than during raid time.
But the guild had open teams for social / hc runs and calendar events for other social things.
And there were always people online chatting / mumble / discord.
So you really should join a guild to get what you want from it.

I remember playing in FoA during WOTLK and also leaving FoA to start DWC with a handful of other friends.
(hi, dmnknight, can you tank halion yet? :p)

That's a really good point. Can't go and blame a guild for not fitting to you.

Yes, I found the pattern to the fight and from then it just clicked. I never liked it though.

Agreed with DMNknight there.

Folks who put in the effort to integrate, will integrate.
It's a lot like working at a company...you get your staff who puts in extra - staying later to finish a job when it's needed, willing to take some responsibility and helping out where they can. Others just do the 8-5 and are "clockwatchers" like my old boss used to say. Urgent job for the company but it'll mean a little bit of overtime? Not scheduled to raid and it's your movies night, but the raid really needs you?
Some rise to the call, others don't. People notice.

Hang out in the guild chat channels and become friends with the folks, be it via IRC/Telegram/Discord/Forum/etc - do some 5mans with fellow members, join them for other games, keep an eye if the lads need an extra due to a DC or such. Soon enough you'll become part of the team.

Playing the game itself is only half of it.

Have to say a few years back it was impossible to fit 15 people into 10 man raids.
Anyway, things have changed. We have raids for casuals on Sunday that just wanna see the content
We have two raid groups one 6/9 heroic and the other 8/9 heroic

We really try to cater for everyone

Come to think of it, im not really sure what you were trying to achieve by posting that...

Tell intz to up his game :D
And tell zebby I say sup :)

I told em for you bro ;)

Back on topic, still looking for local players. DPS mostly but the second group could use another healer

Hey |Blunt ...

Due to changing work conditions I've been pulled back in to WoW again a bit.

Used to off-heal for AG, and was in P&V ages ago, wouldn't mind getting back into the group :)

Mostly playing elemental shammie at the moment and trying to figure out why my DPS is so low :-( But am enjoying it quite a bit, have to say.

If you guys ever need an out of guild healer for raids or M+ content, I'd be keen to group up with some SA players. Done ToS and make a point of getting my weekly +10/+15 :)

My character - Drop me a PM for battletag :)

Heroic KJ DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN \:D/
Group1 will go into relax mode now and raid once a week until the new instance opens
Group2 is about to take down Avatar HC and start work on KJ now

We are still open to people looking to join. This is the best time as the new instance opens shortly and it would be easier to fast track you into a team
