Was the same in Cape Town yesterday afternoon, took me 50 minutes to get home instead of the usual 15 minutes, all due to heavy rain and broken down cars.

i left work at 630 thinking it be good...got home 45mins later and would normally take 20mins

Happens every now and then, some weeks there is an incident on the N1 every day of the week, sometimes in both peak times. Other weeks nothing abnormal.

My wife left Alberton around 7:30. Two hours later, she is now in Parkhurst on her way to Hendrik Potgieter.

Glad I left earlier than usual today, was smooth sailing for the most part.

But going home Monday sucked, two accidents and generally bad drivers made it rather boring.
