XDSL Uncapped WiFi

Is anybody curently using any of XDSL's new uncapped WiFi offerings?

I have just applied for the 384K Uncapped for R450pm (Month to Month / Fixed IP / Firewall)
Equipment and installation = R1500

Installation will be done on monday as they just put up a new High Site in my area (Centurion)

The call center actually responds and the sales staff is verry helpfull. The guy dealing with my application has been calling me daily for the past week, keeping me up to date and informing me of the status of my installation.

If the service could be as good as the sales people.......I will just have to wait and see.

Ok, Finaly got my XDSL 384Kb Uncapped installed!

I Must say...so far i am realy impressed! Speeds are constant and as advertised. Latency is a bit high at the moment (Around 110ms) but they are doing some alignments on the sector today, will see how that goes.The sales people are helpfull and you can actually get through to the call center in under a min!

So far so good, wil update on the service during the month and will see if all stays good.

Those are pretty good speeds for a 384 wireless!

They give you a fixed public internet IP.

Not bad at all! The ping is a bit high but I think for the price that you pay and considering that it's uncapped, it looks like a decent deal.

Do they have any sort of AUP where they slow you down after x amount of gigs or something like afrihost? Otherwise I'm gonna recommend this to my friends that can't get adsl.

I will find out, but i don't think so...I have downloaded just over 48Gb so far running 24X7 and the speed has not once dropped under 45KB/s.

I have not once lost connection, even with the bad weather we had a couple of days ago..lol
And the call center actually answers the phones very quickly and they know what they are doing.

If you are interested, speak to a guy named "Foster" He is very helpfull and keeps you updated all the way.

Where in Centurion do you stay? And where can we see what area they cover, they just say certain areas in Pretoria and Midrand are covered.

I stay next to the Mall@Reds....You can give them a call or just mail them your address and they will let you know if you are covered.

Thanks, I just moved away from Mall@Reds and I don't even have 3G coverage where I stay now. Thats why I am looking at other options.

OK..It's just getting better!

My pings have now been sorted and the speeds are still awesome (For a 384K that is)





NO CAP..NO THRESHOLDS..NO THROTTLING..NO SHAPING..and not a single drop in connection in the 2 Months!
These guys are really restoring my faith with ISP's

Thanks, speedtest looks interesting rather... How did it came to be more than 384k?
I also would like to see pingtests to London.

This is the best place for uncapped, i have been with them for a few months now, i have had no issues, i play battlefield online with a 384k with no lag, in my first month i downloaded almost 130gb, the speed never changes and the support you get is extremely good, they are always friendly and they actually call you back if they say that they will.
