Anyone had any experience with XFX cards? It has a Geforce chipset from what I can see, but other than that it is unknown to me. I know MSI, Gigabyte, Leadtek, etc. Is this on par with these or ???

Thanks for your help.

XFX is a large graphics brand in the US. They generally produce good products.

The only warning refers to certain 7900GT releases from many companies, which are marketed as overclocked at the factory level. These have raised complaints about instability, and the XFX item was mentioned too.

I haven't used XFX graphics cards, but I tried their motherboards for all of two weeks, to which I must say, it sucked badly, after a number of atempts I had to change brands. (was a km400 board out of interest)

I believe that this refers to the "visual artifacts" problem (where overclocked hardware causes image defects). I'd suggest doing some reading up on the Web about those symptoms, in case you need to replace your card.

I have two XFX 7800GTs in SLI in my PC, and i love them. If i buy video cards now, i would prefer to buy either XFX or BFG.

XFX is a very good brand, if you can afford it, buy their cards.

Then again, all the 7800 and 7900 cards are built on the nVidia Reference design, so they're all the same. Some just have different coolers and some are factory overclocked (like mine).

Gigabyte is solid. One of the best part makers imo. They are expensive because the parts are good. Same goes for ASUS and Epox in general. Epox stuffs up now and again, but excell most of the time. I however am an ASUS and Gigabyte man.
