I'm trying to remember a nursery rhyme my housekeeper taught me as a child. I think it may be the Xhosa version of the Lady Bug song.
It goes something (phonetically) like this:

Umzi wa cha
Umzi wa cha
Lala la pie ya
Lala la pie ya
Um li lo
Um li lo
Lala lamanzi
Lala lamanzi

Does this sound (vaguely) familiar to anyone?
What is the song called and what are the correct lyrics and what does it mean?

The correct lyrics are:

Umzi watsha
Umzi watsha
khangela phaya
khangela phaya
umlilo, umlilo
Galelamanzi, Galelamanzil.

Hope this helps!!

The house is burning! The house is burning!
Look at there / observe there!
Fire!
Fire!
Pour water, pour water!

khangela = to search; to look for
phaya = there; other side
Umzi = House or Family

according to my dictionary
