K, grand ma.
Lol well he's a safe grandma atleast you kids have no respect these days!
Everything seems to work fine and just a hair line crack and scratch so I'll just have to ignore it... which is something I stuggle with.

Does that bulky case from MIA come with a screen protector? Lucky part is that the crack is on the bezel and only about 1mm on the screen right edge itself.

Don't have one yet. Want to get one. But the battery doesnt look good.
Battery usage is what I would expect for 3060mAh, but I don't mind at all. Its way better than my Huawei P6 was (2000 mAh).

I'm also using Facebook/Whatsapp/Twiiter/Mail/9gag and so on throughout the day and with 4G and still having it last for almost the whole day is not bad at all, depending on my usage.

@hackerjargon would you mind posting up your screen on time? I'd be keen to see your battery drain % from your screen. Oh and at what brightness?

On my Mi 4. When I installed CM I could see my battery life increase by about 40%. Miui drains a lot of battery.

Keen to get the Note 2 and I see Incredible keeps them, been to 1 or 2 branches in Jhb and they only have dummy models as a sample.

Really poor.

Phoned around and so far only IC Kollonade has an actual demo. Need to see how this thing operates and feels.

Also, no accessories whatsoever.

Game here in PE has a demo Redmi 2 (not the Note). It's pretty similar to the Note 2, only a bit smaller and with marginally worse performance.

It felt as snappy as my Note 2, I'm guessing because of it only pushing out to a 720p screen which I will add was very bright and crisp. I'd say use the Redmi 2 as a reference point; at least it will give you a rough idea of what to expect (and much more than a dummy phone)

Now my wife cracked her screen, it's only internal by the looks of it. Also the price of the cover has gone up R50?

That happened to my wife this morning, she dropped her phone previously all it did was chip the corner. This morning one of the kids ran to give her a hug and bam on the tiled floor. It's a hairline crack across the screen about halfway down. Everything still works fine and it's practically invisible unless you know how to angle the phone. I think it bugs me more than her.

Eish, the screens on these devices seem quite fragile. I hope I get my covers soon! I might not ever take it out of my pocket

It might not be the screen itself but the design of the bezel around the screen. The tolerances seem so tight that a tiny dent of the plastic from the side inwards will force the glass to crack as it has nowhere to shift there's just no play. If you look at a moto G for example you will notice just a very very slight gap right next to the glass where the bezel merges with it, dust tends to go in there and it irritated the crap out of me. In this case dust cant get in because the tolerances seem tighter so now the screen cracks easier, dammit you can't win.

Coming from a Gen 1 Moto G I fully understand.

What I ended up doing was using the rfid tags that you get on cds and dvds and inside you'll find two very thin strips of metal. I used these every so often to clean out the dirt that would accumulate around the bezel.

But I feel your pain, we just can't win :(

The case is on the MIA website no? It's now R149 from R99 a few days ago. Also the screen protector I've not managed to find.
Yes also noticed the screen is pretty edge to edge, which does seem to explain the reason the glass cracks so easily. Surprisingly it's not a shatter but more of a hairline crack from end to end, doesn't effect the digitizer or anything else.
