I think it can but they only officially support up to 32GB, maybe for compatibility purposes. I have a 32GB in mine and it works but I haven't tried a 64GB one yet

Listening to music, you find it decent?

Also see MIUI 8 is coming out, wonder if these devices will receive updates?

Rumours are that all devices that run MIUI 7 should get the update to 8 on the 10th of May, but it remains to be seen.

I haven't opened the music app on mine yet but I'll give it a go with my headphones and my Samsung earphones and report back tonight

There's not much difference between the Note 2 and the Note 3.
I'm thinking a better build quality as the Note 2 is seriously lacking some "iPhone" metal.

Incredible have them for R2 699.

Redmi Note 3

This peaks my interest - 24-bit/192kHz audio
Wonder if it'll be R2999 as well?

Redmi Note 3 was released in January already, amazon india have just got the device for sale so hopefully the new unit model will arrived soon, not much info though which sucks.

The India one and original one are different. One has mediatek Helios, the India one is Snapdragon 650

Dont touch that mediatek one with a 10'' pole please

Lets hope we get the snapdragon... XDA did a review and it seems that the only place the SD version falls short is the camera... but then again... its not a flagship...

Did anybody get this device through FNB? I see they have it, but I sent them an email to enquire as to why it's at R169 a month. That equates to over R4000. Ideally it should be around R119 or so? Unless there is interest etc on this with FNB deals

@Hemps, I tried with my old Sammy earphones and the music playback seemed decent.

I won't lie and say I noticed a difference with the 3 songs I used for comparison between the ReNo2 and my old Moto G and Lumia 1320. The music does seem overly bassy though but that can be tweaked with the equaliser (Songs used were all 320kbps mp3). EDIT: at louder volumes on quieter songs (Wish you were here by Pink Floyd) the sound is quite hissy. It goes away below around 65% volume though

You can also select preset settings for the Xiaomi earphones but it's also only just different equalisers that are applied depending on which model you pick.

I'm sure throwing on a pair of Sennies will show it's flaws a lot clearer than my 5YO Samsung earphones can, but other than the overly bassy tones I couldn't find anything to complain about.
