oooohhhh, a point for Xiaomi there!!

And also, any excuse to laugh at the iSheep :)
Hahaha okay cool.. I've had Apple device before. Came back to droid very quickly.. I'm also happy with the Redmi Note 2, as it's snappy and fluid. It's a good screen size, and the colours are vibrant. It's pretty good value for money. Also it shows as you saw in the video, how it performed against the iPhone 6, a device probably 3 or 4 times more in terms of cost. I think sometimes we under estimate these Chinese devices.

I can't see any device currently thats priced below R3000 to be better value than the Redmi Note 2. It will be a hard find..

Is anyone having problems receiving sms / mms on the Redmi Note 2 (Vodacom)? Someone at our office recently got one, but struggles to get messages in. E-mails and Whatsapp works 100% and I've checked the APN setting and they seem to be correct.

Any advice?

Check if their SMSC settings are the same as mine (Also Vodacom)

Thanks for the reply, but I cant seem to find this option anywhere on the settings menu.

Open Messaging, tap and hold the Menu button (extreme left button), tap Additional Settings, tap Short Message service Center, select the SIM card you are having problems with and check the number in the field

Ok, cool - the number is exactly the same as yours - Still nothing going out or coming in.

I haven't heard of any SMS issues before. Can you do a factory reset on the phone and try seeing if a SMS to the affected number works? Remember to take a backup of any important data

Or before you do that try the other SIM card slot and see if maybe it works there
