I have an orange rugged case for the Redmi Note 2 if anyone wants it. Practically brand new used a couple of times. Free to good home

Ordered a Mi5 yesterday off Takealot, I see they also stock the covers and screen protectors now.

Will report back with a review

Looks very good, maybe we can import? I do not want to wait 6 months
There is an issue with patent rights and mediatek processors in India related to XiaoMi. So they will make an international version with a Snapdragon or something like that. I think I will wait to see if that happens again before buying in

These prices are not yet at the point where I reckon they justify the convenience of buying local as opposed to importing from Alixpress or Geekbuying. You can get the Snapdragon 16GB Note 3 Pro courier delivered for R1000 less, including a case/cover.

So nearly 4 months into my ReNo2 ownership I am still very happy with the device :)

So happy that today I bought the Mi Band 2 ($42.68/R610.69) on dx.com along with a replacement TPU wristband ($2.41/R34.48) and a pack of two screen protectors ($1.27/R18.17) for a total of R663.34.

I bought a few other goodies I needed as well while I was on there such as NFC tags and an Android smart watch for colleagues and a Moto G 1st gen cover for my mother as she is using my old phone.

The total came to just over a grand and the order should be here in about 6 weeks' time. I will report back on my findings on the Mi Band 2 once I have my paws on it :)

I checked out on geekbuy. How much extra will it cost for the import duties etc? Or total from order to my hand?
