My Redmi Note 3 doesn't charge properly. The charger constantly connects / disconnects. Anyone had similar issues? Or had to return the WeChat/Incredible Connection black Friday phone for warranty purposes?

I had to send mine back to Incredible Connection because the touch screen stopped working.

I asked them for a replacement rather than getting it repaired. They only give a replacement if it breaks within 6 months of warranty, so you should take it in to Incredible.

Thanks, unfortunately I'm passed the 6 month mark but let's see how it goes.

I wonder if I should take it to my local Incredible or book a return online? I didn't see any Xiaomi's in our local Incredible last time I was there

The Xiaomi support isn't great, there seems to be one repair center and no one else repairs them.
