my 3GS started getting the 'No Signal' error right after I installed an official Apple update 2 weeks out of warranty , and Apple just went.. meh.

It's a pity what happened to Huawei. I like their phones. But their prices have gotten stupid and with no GMS, I cannot justify it's purchase - even if it was sold a bit cheaper.

Xiaomi is a great midrange(mostly) brand though with good bang for buck specs in comparison to the big boys with full GMS - similar to what Huawei once was.

Agreed and its a matter of time before they take 2nd position.

Xiaomi do make high end phones its just that they are not distributed by MIA. Head over to GSM arena. When i run a spec comparisons to other brands in the price range Xiaomi wins hand down.

With the number of sales they usually do, they're not really an "exclusive" brand, despite how they market themselves. And if you exclude China, then Apple is highly likely to be the most sold brand.
