The reason these goons might've done this, is because of the fact that Android KitKat 4.4 which is on this phone - shows how out-of-date they are putting an OS on like that - prevented writing to SD Card unlike earlier Android versions did, and (presumably all ?) later versions ie. 5.0/5.1 & 6 do... no SD card slot ..
