Edit: I mean if you do a speedtest with your phone or PC, how fast is it supposed to be.

Pretty much the same as the MiBox. Around 24 down and 22 up.

That doesn't really help then, the next thing I would do is play something on Plex and then check the new dashboard to see your local network speed.

Plex & netflix works fine on my smart sound bar, but that's on ethernet.

I'll do as you suggest. And then maybe also put the sound bar on WIFI and see how it handles that.

Play without the soundbar ( Switch off the soundbar and test again ).

Is Amazon Prime Video still working on the Mi Box and the 4s? The app still available on the app store and you don't have to sideload? Just want to check before signing up for prime video.

You have to sideload it, it was never available on the Play Store directly for us.

The Prime Video apk that's optimized for the Shield works great on the Mi Box.

I'm currently using ver. 4.11.4-googleplay-armv7a
I haven't checked but there could well be an update to that by now.

What I would do is install Puffin from the Play Store, use that to search for Aptoide TV, download the apk and install that.

You might have to add the correct store to Aptoide if Amazon Prime isn't there by default.

Also tried it last night ... got the shock of my life, as it reckons me I have no internet, yet I can watch Youtube, etc.
Replaced the network cable on the Mi Box, shot to full speed

LOL, that's a bit extreme!

It did pick up my internet connection at least using Wifi. My signal travels through two walls to reach my MiBox and still managed to get 80mb down and 40 up on my 100/50 connection

Make sure you are getting the Aptoide TV apk.
The other Aptoide store is more for use with phones, tablets, etc.

Guys the update has made my startup worse. It's now completely dead trying to get it going from the remote. At least previously it used to startup after hammering the power button 20 times. I'm thinking a factory reset is probably the way to go now.
