I'm still having lots of issues getting my S to connect via WiFi. I'm ordering a USB to ethernet adapter, but in the meantime, it really is battling to connect and stay connected.

On both the standard box and the S, the only thing that worked was an ethernet to USB adapter. WiFi never worked reliably for me otherwise.

Question regarding using a flash drive to expand memory...
I bought a USB hub and flash drive to format as device memory. When I check storage via the settings it still shows up separately but if I go to the device memory there is an option to move apps to it. Did I perhaps do something? The reason I ask is because when I tried to do the update it showed not enough space. Any tips would be welcome.

That doesn't really help then, the next thing I would do is play something on Plex and then check the new dashboard to see your local network speed.

Ok I can't find this in plex.
Is it on the server or on the client?

I see now the bandwidth graph is Plex Pass only.

So what I would do is use a network monitor program that lets you record and then play something or I would remote into my server from my phone, open up task manager and go to performance and network, then play something on the Mi Box and check what the speed spikes to.

For anyone interested, I couldn't get the 4S to work properly via wifi (through a range extender) so I got the USB to ethernet adapter for that one as well and it's working perfectly through the same WiFi range extender, but connected via ethernet cable.
Hi - is anybody else having wifi issues through a range extender considering all the recent updates - I hope to get my S box next week so would like to know what I am in for !

Speaking of Amazon Prime, I've installed the app via Downloader and it seems to have worked 100%, however I can only watch certain programmes, and most doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this?
Amazon geo restrict certain Series and movies, much like Netflix
I had a sub to them and when I tried watching the newer stuff - (Say it in a whiney nosey voice, think Cartman) "Sorry your area can't watch this, bla bla bla" and the f*kkers pick up if you are on a VPN - I have NordVPN and they pick it up every time (again in a whiney type bitch ass voice) "It looks like you are using a VPN"

We do not support range extenders... they will mess with your wifi...

On the whole it does perform well, but it depends on what you want.
If I knew about this MeCool device earlier (that Koloval posted), I'd much rather have bought that.
I don't like the whole Android TV interface and it's not as customizable as the "phone" layout devices. (I'll prolly get slated for that statement ;)
I have an older Android box, HPH NT N8, and I prefer it to the Mi Box S.
