Thanks. I do have dstv (parents), but the quality sucks serious balls. 1080 my ass, heavy compression on picture quality. I rather pay for streaming that use dstv... (youtube, netflix quality is amazing, dstv look like were are in 2001)

I don't know what ISP or internet speed you've got, but the DSTVnow app and website streams plays 1080 super smooth like it would with any other HD streams ... its so smooth, it looks like its coming straight from the dish

I've experienced both sides.... some days are buttery smooth ... other times ... well, they have that infernal blue circle chasing its tail, or really 240p quality picture. Not fun on a 50inch Plasma.

Lately I have been getting distorted audio over bluetooth headphones when watching Youtube at night. A reboot sorts it out until the next evening when I need to reboot again. Almost like it is keeping stuff in memory which affects bluetooth transmission of audio

Found last night, the Steam Link isn't working on my new Mi Box S. Works great on my old Mi box 3. On the S, it just shows a lot of scrambled lines, the sound however plays.
After a lot of Googling, I'm nowhere near a fix. I see a few people also reporting the same issue, but no fix. Such a shame.

I was actually playing with it last night and got it working.
on your PC, in home streaming, disable any hardware encoding.

Will do some more tests tonight.

Hi all,

I got hold of a new "Mi Box S" and running over my wifi (I don't have a dual band router) on day one was ok but I'm having more lagg issues. Therefore I'm looking at a usb-ethernet converter. Has anyone had experience with the Unitek converters that Computer Mania stocks?

Or are there any brands I should avoid?

I realize there are many similar discussions scattered about but cannot find one regarding this brand.

Thanks

Thanks, I saw that, but didn't change anything. Will try tonight.

Hey, tested it last night. Working great, thanks. Played AC: Origin for about an hour on 100".

Can anyone recommend a good budget game pad for use with steam link? Don't like the feel of ps4 controllers.
