Yes
On hdmi via avr
It's something to do with Dolby digital processing

Netflix Works perfect in my xbox and much louder as well

It's a problem specifically with with DD+. I have a Yamaha RX-V567 and on the first version of Android that my Mibox came with (Android 6) there was no problem. All the issues started with Oreo and they still haven't fixed it at all. The CoreELEC team have apparently solved the issue which lies in the Amlogic hdmi drivers. All thats needed is these 2 lines of code to be changed: CoreELEC HDMI Audio fix but whether Xiaomi even cares is another story.

Here's a question which I'm sure has a simple answer. My Mi box remote can adjust the volume on all apps beside Netflix. For that I have to use the TV remote. Am I missing a setting on the Mi box to allow the remote to control all of the volume, including Netflix?

My DSTV Now feed is buffering badly trying to watch the cricket
Everyone watching cricket today?
It kept buffering then I switched to sky (low-quality picture) on one of the pirate Apps. Maybe it is my 10Mbps line, now back on DSTVNow. the stream seems stable so far.

Got the mi box last week. Kodi is setup but the database is taking up over 2gb of space. How do I compress this or move it to the server? I have a hp nl54 with about 10tb of movies and series.

I am using the usb for a wired Ethernet connection.

Wireless connection is not as responsive as cable.

Try a usb hub? Dunno about the ethernet connection, but I run one dedicated flash drive assigned to the system and a second one for media with no hiccups.

I also have no problems with a wifi connection to the internet or my pc.

I've got three Mi Boxes and had constant buffering on the one connected to my secondary router.

Then one day I went to check my first box if my son did switch it off because he watches Youtube in the mornings before school.

He then just powers it off and I noticed if you power the box on it continues at the last watched youtube video.

I then did a test by exiting from the app with the arrow on the remote to the home screen and then power off the box.

And YES!!... Problem solved. Smooth running and no buffering on the Dstv Now app on the second box like a well oiled machine.

So just a tip to those with more than one box.

Give it a try and some feedback to see if it solves others buffering issues on Dstv Now App...

I had something EXACTLY like this yesterday.

I was busy streaming the SA vs ENG game on my MiBox on my TV but decided to open it up on my cell phone as I was busy in the bedroom at the same time. Once I returned to my living room I saw the stream buffering almost constantly. I then realized that the "duplicate" streaming of the same channel somehow caused my MiBox to buffer the DSTV Now feed. All I had to was to exit the app and reload it and the problem was gone.

Really odd indeed, but luckily something that sorted itself out

Hi guys - new here - hoping for some local advice..
The place I’m staying in has no DStv connection and no option to install one, so forced to stream via Mi Box.

Not sure exactly what internet we have in the building, but have a Netgear Wi-Fi router in my place that seems to have a reasonable speed - 8 to 10Mbps

I’ve had my Mi Box a good few months and it works pretty well with Netflix with the odd dropout in picture quality when bandwidth gets a bit tight - but it never buffers and pic quality is perfect 98% of the time.
My problem lies with DStv - random buffering on basically every channel - and always seems to happen at about 15min intervals. Then I have to wait about 5min going in and out of the app and it will eventually start playing again. Very annoying - like with 3 laps to go of the Indy 500.. grrrrr..
As I don’t have these issues with Netflix - is it an app problem or setup problem or just DStv’s crappy slow servers?

I have the latest system update and two days ago changed the DNS servers from auto to the Google ones (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) which I found recommended on an international forum. I have tried lower res modes in the DStv app but that makes only a minor difference. Now on the 720 setting.

Any advice? Or is that just the way it is?

Thank you!
