You may need to reinstall kodi afresh - my suggestion is this - delete kodi by going to apps select kodi - clear cache - then clear data then force stop and then uninstall. Just to wipe all traces of it. Reinstall kodi afresh however as you are setting up the location of your media again, choose to parse local nfo files and not selecting TVDB or alike - this means kodi will get all the info about your media from the nfo file which points to where all the art is (which is usually in the same folder as the media). That way kodi does not need to use TVDB to download art for all the media you have since the folders of your media already have the necessary fan art etc.

Then your box will have much more space as kodi will take lesser space and once any new media is added kodi just reads/refreshes from the local nfo files and not from a database online. Hope that helps.

I moved the Kodi database to the server using path substitution.

Not sure if coincidence, but my mibox without issues is less than a meter from my router (other side of wall), while the one with issues is considerably further away

My Mi-Box is 12-15 meters from my router, and has no issues with wi-fi.

I am having a very strange problem with my mi box s.
for the first 2-3 weeks, everything was working 100%,
now i often get buffering while watching plex and another live TV service i have.

if i use my cellphone I don't get any buffering.
So, it must be the wireless. but nothing changed, using 5ghz and the router is right next to it.

You can try going into storage and clearing the cached data. Then restart the unit. Seems to work for me.

I've had that on wireless, but on an extender. Placed it better and it's fine, also the last major update seemed to have helped too.

Also noticed that , move box further from router and it will improve .

Bought a new universal remote which is great with TV - DVD Player - HI FI - DVB T2 - Open View - but for some unknown reason the universal remote will not learn the Mi Box S commands - can there be some sort of security feature that stops it from being copied ?

I read that somewhere will give it a try, thanks.
Any idea how much further?
Sorry , no idea but would estimate a few metres would be fine . I have lan'd mine to the router and it works perfect
