Dstv Now app buffered heavily the last month or so.

Tried to stream tonight and message pops up in short stating that only 2 devices are allowed streaming simultaneously.

And?.... no more buffering which goes to show that their servers could not handle the said 4 registered devices after everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

Meaning that in actual fact you can only use 2 devices at once.

But rather this than the constant buffering.

Anyone else think I'm spot on?

OK, my bad.... Catchup buffering a moerse shot

Nothing has changed. Always been like that.

2 simultaneous streams.
4 registered devices.

Ok. The BIG question now is? Where to get Mi Box the cheapest cause Gearbest no longer ships with Middle East Xpress Priority Line to SA. And DHL shipping pricing is nothing other than total madness.

Local seems to be the only way
Is that Incredible special still on?

WTF? When did this happen? Middle East was reasonable and kinda fast.

Hi guys

Since the upgrade to oreo my mibox is just not the same anymore, main issue is, i have to reboot the device before using it otherwise its lags badly. Second issue, after the reboot the screen goes black a few times assuming hdmi issues. Third issue is the sound that cuts out when watching DD+ and above.

Are you guys not experiencing this and should i install the any of the beta builds? How and where do i get it?
Thanks

I have had no issues with my Mi box before or after the Oreo update. I have noted that some folks have reported that a factory reset cured their weird experiences though, so maybe that's worth a try?

***** ALL DATA (app data, Downloads ...) on the Mi box will be ERASED ***

1) Prepare a USB Stick with Fat32 file system (as usual).
2) Create a file on the USB stick with the name "xiaomi_update" and the text: --update_package=/udisk/update.zip (all in one line, no empty lines) Under Windows us a program like notepad++
3) copy the downloaded file to the USB stick and rename it update.zip
4) Do the next step WITHOUT inserting the USB stick
5) Boot to recovery and select "Wipe data" from the menu. This can take several minutes. Don't reboot after this step
6) INSERT the USB stick
7) Select update from the menu in the recovery menu
8) Select update from udisk
9) Update is starting and rebooting the system two or three times. Don't interrupt this process.
10) Mi box is booting to the oreo system. Update process is complete and system setup (language...) is starting.
