Cool. I think that unit is usb type c. So you'll need an adapter to a normal usb 3.0 port to plug into the Mi Box.

Yes it is. I got myself the following adapter.

The MyGica ATV495X is R1099 at Incredible. It more worth it over the Mi Box?

Ouch, check all the suppliers, listed on the first page, they are the most likely suspects. You missed the Incredible Connection special, by 2 days ... :(
I went to the Gateway and Pavillion on Saturday and both stores had no stock. The salesmen advised me to buy it online, but when I got home the IC website said it's for in-store purchases only.
Thanks, I never heard of that site before. I'll have to wait a while until one of the more reputable online or physical stores have stock again.

Agreed, kloppers has been around for ages as brick & mortar and have recently become more prominent online. Nothing shady about them.

Kloppers have large physical stores in Bloemfontein, George, Knysna and Port Elizabeth I believe.

Been dealing with them over 35 odd years here in Bloemfontein where they started. Nary an issue, with them, not used their online store, because I walk in and get what I want.

As far as I'm aware as long as it's on one IP address you can connect as many devices as you want. I have 2 pcs, a MI box and my phone and haven't had any issues.

With rd you get better streams way more 1080p 5.1 surround sound and I managed to watch about 10 series of survivor, rewatched dexter, weeds and house without too many issues

Ty, will, consider it

Hi all

I'm on the verge of returning this box for a refund now,

This box is so inconsistent, at times it works brilliantly and other times it's unusable in terms of DSTV now playback and at times youtube as well. I've fiddled around with my router settings as well but get full speeds on my phone but never on the mibox.

I'm thinking of getting the usb ethernet adapter as a last attempt, or should I just go back to the plug and play reliable Explora.

Please let me know your thoughts and the most affordable options for the adapter as I don't want to waste more money on this box

Thanks

I can't speak as to DSTV Now, that could be the app itself. Never the most reliable.
In any case, try the USB to Ethernet adapter. If that doesn't work you could always return it.
There are cheaper ones out there but the one I bought is this one: https://www.takealot.com/ce-link-us...-hub-with-gigabit-ethernet-switc/PLID47903656
It works perfectly for me.

Only issue I have with Mi-Box is with YouTube app, otherwise fine.

The ethernet adapter might help.
