I would rather wait for Xiaomi Redmi pro, it was launched in China this morning.

Also not sure if I really need it, as my Sony Expedia Z2 is still fine.

I really wanted this phone, but was very disappointed when MIA brought the 2GB/16GB version to SA.

The fact that they only have the gold colour only makes things worse.

Waiting for them to stock the Redmi 3 Pro 3GB/32GB version in a decent colour.

Both were listed on the MIA site a few weeks back before being removed.

I hope the Redmi 3 Pro is available soon as my Galaxy S4 is showing its age, especially in the battery life department.

Yip and try and wait for the Snapdragon variant if possible. The MTK-based ones work fine (I love my Redmi Note 2) but the Snapdragon-based chipsets are superior in most ways

Just had a look at this phone and it looks really good, would this be a better buy than the motorolla G4 and Nexus 5x?

It is a good phone. Should be pretty much as quick as the Nexus and noticeably faster than the Motorola. The Nexus has a truly fantastic camera and clean, updated Android, which I think is worth the extra R400 or so, but the Redmi will have noticeably longer battery life. Motorola not up to scratch compared to the other two phones, I'm afraid.

This is a good phone, I'm in China so i get to play with them when it comes out....only R2000 here though lol...only thing good about living in China

Got it for my mom last year and she loves it, really fast and snappy for the price range.

And yes, the Redmi 3 pro just came out last night, the highest version 4G/128G X25 is the same price as the lower range Mi5....definitely worth it....

Yip, running two SIM's and a 32GB MicroSD in my Redmi Note 2. I also feel Xiaomi took a step back by giving users the choice of either dual SIM or single SIM and SD card. But at least there are ways around the limitation..

I don't think its really a worthwhile upgrade from the S5. Do a comparison on GSM Arena.

It's still a bloody good phone for the price

Agreed - I stuck with my S5 - will run it until it is out of ADH and dies....
