XP Issue

Can sum1 plz help me out .. my system freezes on shutdown. it doesnt happen everytime but more often than not.. its a fresh windows install on a new hdd. any help resolving this problem will be greatly appreciated

Make sure you have SP2 and all the latest fixes installed.

Check for heating issues. If you've installed SP2 and have a fresh Windows installation I doubt the problem is software related. If heating is fine, backup your data and do a brand new Windows installation, removing all previous partitions. It's possible you have spyware/virus issues.

check your event viewer in admin tools, and see what it says, I would go with heating as well
