If only

If only the mobile operators had the networks to support VoIP i would get excited. As it is, reliable VoIP over 3G even is a pipe dream in most of the country.

Wait for the headlines "MTN / Vodacom fines users for abuse of their service".

"Calls... anywhere in the world are free whilst calls to other networks, landlines and international destinations are discounted by up to 80 percent which is a compelling proposition to any user"

Plus its a local company, I must say the website looks world class!!! Let me try it!!!

Yeah, most Joomla or Mambo (php frameworks) based sites look like this.

As for registration, well it keeps coming back that 'the registration session has expired or cookies are not allowed on your browser'. Well cookies are allowed (MyADSL uses cookies, right?) and if a 10 seconds registration session is all that they allow for then I'm afraid not too many people will be registering.

To the developer who was on these forums a while back. Could you give us an idea of how you developed this?

I know it is not in Java because of performance reasons, so what language did you use and why is this language not supported on SonyEricssons?

nope, Yeigo's encryption makes in almost indistinguishable from normal data traffic. the only pipe-dream here is tiny operators like MTN and vodacom thinking they can do anything about mVoIP.

T-Mobile (a much bigger operator) tried this in the UK earlier this year, the courts threw T-Mobile out on their ears saying that the motion to block VoIP was a waste of of the courts time and bordering on competition law infringement - the court strongly suggested that mobile operators not waste any more of the courts time on the issue

Thats all nice and good (although T-mobile UK is in fact a fraction of Vodacom's size) but we're not in England nor do we have the luxury of a pro-consumer regulator.
