Are there really people who pay below minimum wage?
I've never come across one, or even heard of anyone who does.
but if you throw your old clothes in the bin and the domestic worker takes it, is it theft?Yes. Sadly there are also people that are extremely racist and treat their domestic like junk, thinking if they give them expired food and old clothes that they should be grateful for the R90 or less a day they got. I didn't think it is possible until I saw it with my own eyes.
There are also some communities where there is 70-80% unemployment, and those who employ get very small salaries or pensions. In those cases I think you really don't have much of a choice. But both sides don't have it easy.

Its actually not really racism, and just generally being a fscking terrible person. The paying minimum wage or below happens across racial lines. Treating your domestic like shyte happens across racial lines.
I'm making the point about donating old clothesDon't be ridiculous.
That is true. What I personally saw was pure racism and a hatred towards someone thinking they don't deserve more. People like that still exist unfortunately. There are also those terrible people who just don't care. Its actually not really racism, and just generally being a fscking terrible person.
