Will Vodacom will release the R2m due to it being a legal request?

If Vodacom has been subpoenaed, he can forget the R2M.

Unless he can successfully challenge 'procedural' flaws with the subpoena at a higher court - he can kiss the 2M goodbye - even if he wins - it wouldn't be Vodacom that owes him.

“Vodacom released certain information under a lawfully-issued subpoena as it was obliged to do so in terms of Section 179 of the Criminal Procedure Act. Vodacom will be defending the matter,” said Kennedy.

That is a very different story to the story that O'Sullivan is telling:

He said he spent R2 million on legal fees after Vodacom gave his personal information to a firm of attorneys representing convicted underworld boss Radovan Krejcir in 2014.

On what basis did the firm of attorneys representing Krejcir persuade a judge to issue a court order that compelled Vodacom to hand over O'Sullivan's private information?

“The court ordered Krejcir to pay costs in that matter, but he has since been declared insolvent,” stated the report.

That is also odd because it seems like Krejcir's firm of attorneys were in the wrong for using underhanded methods to obtain the private information and secondly the attorneys gave the data to Krejcir.

O'Sullivan should be getting Krejcir's firm of attorneys to pay the legal fees, or at least have them added as a second respondent in the court papers lodged against Vodacom.

Depends what the subpoena stipulated.
Did they give more than what was allowed?

Dont think Paul is so stupid as to launch an application if he had no chance of winning?
