In CT I have to wait on average 5-10 minutes for the guy to start making his way to me.
Yip had this before, waited 10 minutes before the driver even started moving on the map.
It depends. I once got horridly confused at the airport only to find out the Uber is above my head rather than where I was standing. I'd pay extra but in some scenarios it isn't necessarily anyones mistake.
How is this Broadband or IT news?
How is that not your mistake?
How is it not?
Uber is one of the most talked about tech/IT companies in the world![]()
Simple. They're dealing with human beings not machines.
Do they charge cheaper if they're late?
Didn't know. But I think it'll be difficult to enforce. Because if the Uber driver parks down the road, then it's actually his problem. Also - the app doesn't always update quicky enough. I mean there have been 2 instances where the driver phoned me because he was outside already but according to the app, he was still 2 minutes away... So they need to sort that out before they charge people. I'd fight it if it was app- or driver-based.
Talking about something does not make it something. Fine being posted in Business sub, but not quite in this sub.
I think it's still optional for the driver. But five minutes of extra waiting for your human error is still money being wasted for them.
I dunno, it is also an option.
