The general mentality is that the suburb I live in is for very rich folk. Meanwhile it's just upkeep and clean and it's actually not as expensive to live here.

Personally the idea behind Orania will fall flat one day. I can only imagine the isolated weird old people telling their kids how much better it is here where internet is around R2000 for a 20mb fibre link. It might even turn cult like.

I want them to thrive and do well, but denying the process and criteria for selecting people isn't racist is a stretch.

They lack in this area, its a pitfall and a huge risk to their commune. Why brainwash the community into thinking democracy can be used to shield and promote their racism, its a bad idea which we all know the outcome
