They're not really independent but the government allow them to do their own thing without too much interference.

Fitter n Turner. I don't know I just kept failing on the welding test. I just couldn't get my welds right. Had to arc weld two 2mm sheets together and just kept ****ing it up, metal would warp, splashes, holes. Just never quite "got" it.

I did Fitting Incl Machining. Almost failed with my flange drilling. Bloody drilling machine's table wobbled. Made it with .002mm to spare.
