But yours is doing the exact same thing.

The keyboard is right over where you are typing.

Your screenshot is identical to mine, just a different theme or Dark Mode.

Okay, I guess the text peeking under your keyboard threw me for a loop. I usually use the iPad in portrait when browsing / typing.

Yeah I mostly do too, but still a major loss in functionality there over the standard one that you can't split it or move it around at least.
 
At least for the phone, it is the same "wasted space" as with the iOS keyboard?

I don't know - I like the haptics. Also have no idea how you managed to type that badly using SwiftKey - it corrects my stuff fairly well. This is even with Afrikaans set to the first language.

Thanks for the tip on turning off the standard ios keyboard! Although in my banking app it still appears - FNB believes every third party keyboard out there is going to steal, I don't know, your beneficiaries' reference text and bank account numbers
 
Nee fok this SwiftKey always seems to choose the worst word on a mistype.

Often it's not even a real word. I need to constantly manually watch the pop-up bar to select the right thing.

Yes.

Even if you turn all other keybaords off and Dictation it still floats up there.

Nah any manual password entry field brings up the standard keyboard to stop keylogging.

I'm lefthanded and that throws off every other keyboard it seems because it's no issue on the standard one but SwiftKey and Gboard always get it wrong.

I should have not fixed this post it was an abomination as I type.

I'm (mostly) left-handed too - what bugs you? Just the key / word correction that seems worse? Then again, I tap with both hands, and swipe with left.

Another thing I've noticed - Swiftkey, when deleting, deletes character by character and then goes full words. It actually works very well, but it might be possible to enable in other keyboards too?

All keyboards delete character by character until you hold it in and then does full words.

Yeah the autocorrect is just terrible compared to the iOS keybaord.

I don't have this "floating" problem. Stock keyboard disabled. Iphone SE 2020. Mybb app.

Yeah, try typing in Afrikaans on IOS. Major sucky.

I'd be dead without Swiftkey.

Swiftkey > G-Board > IOS

No definitely the Afrikaans support helps.

But also manual correcting and building your dictionary makes it mostly go away if you speak mengels.
