We live in an apartment block so not too much space for decor at the front door.

Like I said, I can see it if I step outside since i'm on the ground floor thus my view is obstructed. But then again you can see the mountain from almost anywhere in CT.

I was under the impression that there are areas where you do not have a view of the mountain.

But anyway, it must be lovely, seeing it every day. I would love to live in CT and if i do, I would a 100 times rather have a house with a good view of the mountain than a view of the ocean.

Who wants a view of the mountain? You must feel so small when you look up at the big mountain. If it were me, I'd build a mansion on top of the mountain and look down on the town.
