I might view this today. Looks to be in good nick, I can only see some peeling of the top right centre console buttons (although it could be something else, hopefully). No steering controls on most of the the B6es.

They are so similar to the B7 (my ex and current) so I know what to expect and look out for.

Auto is a bit of a leap for me as manuals are more reliable and funner, but willing to try it. I quite like the idea of being able to relax more when driving, better for traffic etc.

It's in line with wanting something around 150,000km, and being able to sell at just below 200,000km without losing much.

2003 Auto would mean it is one of the early Multitronics. You, sir, are a very brave man.

They were problematic to say the least. I've driven a few where the gearbox was starting to give up the ghost. Not a pleasure at all.

I'm aware of the problems, have been since 2.5 year ago when I got my first B7 A4. I'm looking for figures though, because it puts things into perspective.

For example people worry about the DSG mechatronics unit going, costs something like R30,000 - R60,000 to fix at the stealers.

R12,000 from a mechanic.

That looks to be a serious bargain, depending on the car's condition. I sold my Accord for a fair bit more, though to be fair it was immaculate.

Oh and PP another bonus for the Accord, mine had three cash buyers within two hours of me putting it out there to my extended circle of friends (sold before it even made it's way onto MyBB/Gumtree and the like). ;)
