YouTube closes accounts tied to Hong Kong influence operations

Google said it disabled 210 YouTube channels involved in “coordinate influence operations” around the Hong Kong protests, following similar measures earlier this week by social media companies Facebook Inc. and Twitter Inc.

The Alphabet Inc. unit didn’t specify which channels were shut down in Thursday’s blog post announcing the decision. But the post said the company discovered accounts “consistent with recent observations and actions related to China” from Facebook and Twitter.

Well done, Google. Now stop monitoring my every move. There's nothing creepier than visiting a restaurant you haven't been to in ages, and your phone informing you that you were last here 3 years ago.

The Alphabet Inc. unit didn’t specify which channels were shut down in Thursday’s blog post announcing the decision.

But the post said the company discovered accounts “consistent with recent observations and actions related to China” from Facebook, godaddy websites run on blogger, and Twitter. Those blocked channels will not be accessible like other websites blocked by the government owned ISPs. If you want open a blocked website, follow the steps: https://www.corenetworkz.com/2019/11/open-blocked-websites-on-airtel-mobile.html

If you face the destination host unreachable error message while ping to a web server, follow the steps: https://www.corenetworkz.com/2009/05/destination-host-unreachable-reason-and.html
Those channels were promoting pro Chinese Government views and undermining the democratic protesters in Hong Kong. Google did a good job by closing those channels.
