YouTube threatens legal action against TubeNinja video downloader

What is the point of threatening one website? Lots of websites and even browser extensions offer the same capability.
 
That's a brave move to ignore google like that.

I wonder what will happen next?

So far, the only website was successful to stop offline downloads via browser extensions, is dailymotion.

They use flash container to stream media (and hence it is not showing up as media to extension, and downloading flash file gives nothing)

Somone said that flash was not secure...

Use greasemonkey/tampermokey and use one of the mllion youtube download scripts available...
 
Yet aTubeCatcher has been out forever and it hasn't been called out.
 
Many many other ways to download from youtube , and thanks for informing us of one more
