YouTube won’t ban controversial politicians

YouTube will not ban politicians for breaking the company’s content rules.

This is the position of YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, as stated during an open interview at The Atlantic Festival in Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

That is problematic in the extreme.

You have ToU, they must apply universally or they are not worth anything.

YouTube looked at FB and decided, If they can, then so can we. Just what we need - more encouragement for the Malemas and Trumps out there.

Free speech should apply to everyone, and not just the political elite.

There is no comparison between Trump or Malema. Care to show how they match each other on the rhetoric? Also, care to show us which posts of Trump's are racist? Sure, Trump says a lot of stupid stuff, but racist? Maybe a little, but nothing that has ever warranted a ban.

The political leader rule came.in because of Trump.
Will it be OK for political leaders from ISIS, Al Qaeda, etc to also post on Facebook.
