YouTube sports streaming shows DStv how it's done

YouTube has implemented a concurrent stream policy for its National Football League (NFL) Sunday Ticket package that will be the envy of eager sports fans on DStv.

The popular video streaming site initially planned to allow only two simultaneous streams on the optional add-on package for its paid-for subscription service YouTube TV.

I prefer broadcasts via Acestream, where concurrency is highly encouraged.

R400 for one sport code? No way you're comparing this to Supersports.

Don’t forget with nfl there are multiple games on at a time. I used a game pass sub for this in the past. I’d have my team the giants on plus 2 other games on simultaneously (depending on the matchups) then keep red zone on as a fourth.

You need multiple streams!

My family in Florida, fort lauderdale has 4 tvs ranging from 55” to 83” in their games room for exactly the same reason. They host a few football Sundays and not everyone is a bucs fan!

I find both YouTube TV NFL TICKET and DSTV unacceptable. I thought YOUTUBETV is not available in RSA? DSTV can go to blazes for all that I care. They are a profiteering exploitative company with zero customer orientation and must go bust soon. But RSA consumers are too gullible and will probably continue exploitation from DSTV because its a status symbol.

Parkrun is still the cheapest, enjoyable, free and fun, watching other people exercising is tiring!

Is watching the Giants so boring you need another 3 games to watch too? :p

Support the Kansas City Chiefs, that Mahomes magic is all I can focus on :)

Where do you get your streams? Is SA sport (cricket, rugby etc) available?

From your comment, I assume it's P2P based and I'll be sharing back as I consume a stream? Does it use a lot of upload bandwidth?

You look for the list of broadcasters and then search for an Acestream for the broadcast. Lots of Reddit & Twitter posts for the content-IDs

Yes, it's P2P. You can limit/block your upload bandwidth at the cost of a more-delayed broadcast.
