I have heard that this is been going on for a long time. And that Zim is paying next to (if any) nothing for it. While our prices continue to increase.

Yup, they pay very little, if any...

I have been in a situation where loadshedding was on the go here, and I then flew out, to Harare.
As I arrived in Borrowdale 2 hours later, they cut the power, right on track, with what was going on in SA. Power went out at home within +/- 5 minutes as reported to me by the alarm system at home. Power came back within the same 5 minute period for both locations...
Coincidence? I think not.

Not one single watt of power travels from SA to ZIM... So you can all stop bleating, it hasn't for years...

EDIT: I see Sinbad beat me to it:

ZESA website. Like I said, they're pretty transparent.

As transparent as Mugabe. Yeah, I'll take it with a pinch of salt. Not saying you're wrong, but cmon...you think that is the whole truth?

Yup, in this case.
Why claim you're not importing, while your citizens sit in the dark, if you could import? That would make you VERY unpopular.

Eksdom Employee?

No just a Zimbo, and we all know they owe ESKOM a shyte load of money for back when we did get power. Eskom won't supply again until the debt is paid, and that isn't going to happen because ZESA has no money because of all the corruption.

Ja sure... and they still supply Soweto, despite them not paying...

That is currently yes, and as you say no more will be sent until the debt is paid, but the agreements are in place for us to send them power, up to a certain amount.... and it would more than likely be dependent on the state of our generation fleet and distribution network.

It is...
No chance of ever seeing that kind of access with EKSDOM... that would expose their dishonesty far too much.

That's brilliant!

Drives me nuts that Eskom won't publish that kind of thing.... I know we have the capability to do so, and the data is available to them to do so.....

I have contacted the DA in relation to this, but I don't really expect them to be able to do anything to make Eskom publish this sort of thing.

Kind of proves the cANCer is taking the p1ss doesn't it... I have wondered how much of this "power crisis" is actually the truth, and is just a ploy to make whitey emigrate, and to keep the voters loyal!

I'm pretty sure its a very real crisis... I just do occasionally question the necessity for Load Shedding at certain times.

I think what publishing that kind of data would do is expose Eskom even further and show us just how bad the situation actually is.
