I'm still trying to figure out which point of the constitution she supposedly broke.

IIRC freedom of speech is actually enshrined in our constitution. And nothing of it was inciditing hatred or violence.

Yes I know I'm late to the party.

She didn't, the PP just jumped on the populist train.

Zille loses colonialism tweets case against Mkhwebane, with costs

The former Western Cape premier decided to keep arguing the case in court despite stepping down from public office. Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane on Tuesday welcomed a decision by the Western Cape High Court that found against former Western Cape premier Helen Zille, who is now the DA Federal Council chairperson. Zille’s application against Mkhwebane’s findings and recommendations, from when Zille was still the premier, were dismissed by the court. Acting Judge Malebo Habedi said Zille would have to pay the costs of the case, up to the point that she left office. He acknowledged, however, that the findings and recommendations were now moot, since Zille is no longer a public office bearer and cannot be acted against by the Western Cape Legislature.

I hope Helen Zille does not clap back; not only will she play into the media's hands, she will also create another hot mess, and things in house of Democratic Alliance are not looking good.

Such a third world thing...
Judiciary going out of their way to damage opposition parties.... while having double standards.

Supporting the majority at the expense of intelligence and facts, when none of the previous have bearing on the future of the country
They have learned NOTHING from the past.

And in other news: While the country has negative growth and unemployment reaching all-time highs (and climbing):

How in the actual f*** can discussing colonialism in a balanced way be unconstitutional?
Let's be clear on a technical point, even discussing colonialism in an unbalanced way is not unconstitutional.

That's what I thought as well, until this revelation of a judicial cabal that is out to get the DA.

It's always a sobering moment when you hear high IQ DA supporters coming up with EFF/BLF level conspiracy theories.
judicial cabal playing games it seems. On one hand they granted FF+ victory against BLF and now this. I think it is time we take it to Hague as only netherlands can save us.

I guess it could be said the the judiciary has damaged an opposition party with what they did to the BLF.

Opposition parties have won case upon case until recently when certain members within them started going rogue.
