Well cutting the water makes sense, if they cannot treat it they need to cut the water.

I hope this keeps up, along with the money problem and the army guys not getting paid, who knows maybe there will be an uprising against mugabe. If he has no support in the army he has nothing.

The wise men of SADC appear to be of the opinion that no matter the human suffering, comrade Bob will reign supreme.

Had the South African Government stepped in 10 years ago and done something the whole picture may be different today, although I think part of their destiny was inevitable either way.

Furthermore one can also blame the Zimbabweans themselves for altering their Constitution to allow more than two terms in office for their President effectively placing the country into a Dictatorship.

Now because of inaction from all concerned "we the taxpayers" (not the people) will end up with the tab of trying to rebuild and feed our neighbour.:(

I doubt it. Zimbabwe's troubles are caused by the British and Americans, neocolonialism, colonialism, international financiers, racists, exploiters, &c.

When SA goes the same way we'll have exactly the same reasons, and of course the dreaded Legacy of A.

Mainly the Breeetish. :D

What I would like to know is how Zimbabwe managed to end up with Inflation at levels that boggle the mind. Was this caused by external influences?
Central Bankers squeezing Zimbabwe into oblivion so to speak.

The Zimbabwean constitution requires the ruling party to have a two thirds majority in order to make constitutional changes (as does South Africa's) the "people" did not change the constitution, ZANU (PF) did. As you are well aware ZANU (PF), and Bob, remain in power through intimidation and coersion of the un-educated rural majority.

I am sure that when Zimbabwe has a stable government there will be a queue of bleeding heart western countries with money to help re-build what has been plundered. I am confident that your tax will be safe in the ANC's pockets.

God its embarrassing  - The fact that a country like South Africa can't / hasn't done anything about Zimbabwe , we've just about lost all clout amongst the international community.

And to think the Security Counsel actually considered elevating our status

Free and Fair Elections

You forgot the best one, just plain rigging!
Yes. I was watching one of the overseas news sites last night and there was a black dude going on about the Sham Election in Zimbabwe.

The election before this one our own ANC Members declared the election free and fair despite widespread intimidations and calls by foreign observers who refused to declare the election free and fair. But our Government gave it the green light, so here we are several years further down the road and the whole country has collapsed even further, but the elections were free and fair.

Expect more cholera outbreaks if there is no clean running water.

It's like a real life version of Survivor for the people of Zimbabwe... Just without the island and beaches and scripted scenes for the cameras.

Honestly, how much longer do we have to put up with not only Zanu-PF but also the MDC being incompetent to do anything about anything other than talk.

I'm not one for armed struggle, but seriously, is it not about time for someone to start a militia in Zimbabwe and take out some gov't people? They seem to manage to do it about everywhere else in the world, why not give it another go in Zimababwe. They are all suffering anyway, get another revolution going. The MDC has proven themselves incompetent of brokering a transition. Someone else needs to step up and give it a try (an honest person hopefully, but most likely not. Just slightly better would be a start over the current lot though).
